Staying Safe Online

The Internet is a wonderful place, but with it come dangers. Here are a list of things you should remember when on the Internet:

  • Never give any of your personal information, such as your age, school and address to anyone.
  • Never meet up with people you’ve met over the internet. It could be very dangerous if you did.
  • Only make friends with people you know. Ask your friends if they have the network. If they don’t and you see their name on there, don’t make friends for it. So the basic message is: ask first!
  • Make sure you know that the people who are emailing you are who they say they are. Most people who aren’t who they say who they are will end up in your junk box. However, if it does end up in your inbox, look for the following signs, which can be found here.
