Buddhism has over 520 million followers worldwide and has no god. All Buddhist traditions aim to cease suffering in the world.

The Four Noble Truths

The Four Noble Truths are the basics of what Buddhists believe. The truths are:

  • Dukkha – “incapable of satisfying”
  • Samsāra – endless cycle of rebirth, “dukkha” and dying again.
  • Rebirth – When you are born again as a different person or animal.
  • Karma – Good and bad deeds which produce “seeds” which mature later either in this life or in another.
