By using Homework Help For Kids, you agree to this policy, which describes who collects your data, where it goes and why. Here it goes:

Google Analytics

Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to gather information about our visitors. This includes the country you may be visiting from, how long you spend on the site, what pages you visit, how you came across us as well as what page you exit from. This data is collected subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and is stored on Google’s servers.
We collect this data so we can find out who is using our site and how we can improve it.
If you don’t want Google Analytics to track you, do one of the following:
Desktop: Click here to install a Google Analytics Opt-out plugin for your browser. This means data won’t be collected about your visit(s) to sites with Google Analytics.
Mobile: Install an app that blocks trackers. We recommend BlockBear (iOS) or that you browse the Internet with DuckDuckGo’s privacy browser (iOS/Android)

We use a service called RevolverMaps on this website. RevolverMaps places a dot at an approximate location from where you are visiting the site (this is based on your IP address.) We use this service so everyone can see the visitors we have from around the world. RevolverMaps does not collect any more information than your approximate location.
The map (shaped as a globe) can be found at the bottom of every page. If you’d like to opt-out of this, here’s how. Note: This map will only collect your location and place it on a map if it’s present on the page in the first place.

Google Translate

The Google Translate widget is used on this website so those who don’t speak English can understand the page’s content in their own native language.
Google may collect data about what language you speak so it can translate the page into your native language. If you don’t want this, simply block cookies for translate.google.com or use one of the blockers described above.

Matomo Analytics

Matomo is an analytics platform, which respects DNT (Do Not Track) signals and allows you to opt-out of tracking very easily. All data generated by it is stored on our own servers, so it’s only subject to this privacy policy. When Matomo records your IP, it replaces the 4th number with a 0 so we don’t know your exact location.

The analytics software collects the pages you visited, how you found this site (search, direct entry etc.), where you’re visiting us from (this is determined by the language option you set for your browser), how long you spent on each page, device information (operating system, model etc.) and any search queries you carried out using our site search engine.

You can opt-out using the checkbox below or by enabling DNT (Do Not Track) in your browser’s settings.

Your personal information

When you send us your personal information through a form, it will be used for the following purpose(s):
To follow up on your enquiry. We may use the information to answer a question you may have contacted us about.
To send you things you may be interested in via email. We may send you emails (frequency of emails.) You can opt-out by pressing the “Unsubscribe” button at the bottom of each email. If you press the “Unsubscribe” button at the bottom of the email, we will delete the email address off our servers immediately.

Sharing your personal information

We don’t share your personal information with anyone unless we are required to do so by law.

How to remove personal information

If you don’t want certain personal details on our servers, you can contact us at (enter contact email here) with the information you want deleted enclosed and a sentence along the forms of, “Please remove the data below from your servers.” Once we receive the email, if we can identify the data that you want removed and it is not essential for the services we provide, we will delete the data off our systems.
For security reasons, we will delete the email you sent us about removing the data once we’ve removed it.

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

We do aim our services at children under the age of 13. They can browse anonymously by avoiding Google Analytics tracking (see the Google Analytics section above.) We don’t collect any personal information unless you give it to us via a form.
If parents do not want their child’s email address on our servers, they can contact us at mail (at) homeworkhelpforkids.co.uk with their child’s email address enclosed and a sentence along the forms of, “Please remove the address below from your servers.” Once we receive the email, if we can identify the email address, we will delete the address off our systems.
For security reasons, we will delete the email you sent us about removing the data.
Before doing this, go to any email we have sent you and click the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom. This will instantly remove your email from our systems.
